After 38+ years working on Arsenal Island in the Information Management Directorate I retired as the JMC Database Administrator. I was "retired" for a whole 5 weeks before going back to Arsenal Island as a part-time contractor in the Transportation Directorate. Last August I finally retired for good. Although I no long work on a daily basis I still bowl twice a week -- down from 4 times a week -- and I do volunteer work for Alternatives for the Older Adult (how ironic!!). [Sept2016]

Though I can't make it back there for the reunion, please accept warm (very warm this summer) greetings from Southern Nevada, where Ninfa and I have made our home for the past 26 years. She has actually taught me the very best of all that I know. Celebrating 27 years sober this year, I've overcome the fate of Robert Senice "Men Who Don't Fit In." I feel that I Live up better to Kipling's ranks which "fill the Unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run." I'll always have the fondest memories of our Huckleberry existance living in the Mississippi Valley. And a soft spot in my heart for the class of '66. [June2011]

I moved to Phoenix in '68, and did a culinary apprenticeship (the slow way) at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, taking a year off in '69 for a road trip from AZ down to southern Chile, the whole Pan American Highway.

I've lived all over the west, as well as Vermont and Georgia. Brought my family to Vegas in '85 after landing a job at Caesars Palace. My wife and I have operated a few different businesses here, and I presently run Affairs To Remember catering, where I'm just a little too busy most of the time. [Nov2005]

I am still lobbying the Illinois Legislature on behalf of various statewide organizations/associations. My wife retired from the Illinois State Museum and does consulting work. Our daughter lives in Cincinnati and just got married. She works for the National Headquarters of the DAV. Our son recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a masters in engineering and lives in Fresno, CA. working on water projects. I quit running marathons (bad knee) but still try to keep in shape. Love to travel when time permits. [July2016]

I've been a lobbyist in Springfield for the past 38 years. My wife is the Associate Director of the Illinois State Museum. We have a daughter Dorothy who is on the staff of the museum and art galleries of Iowa State University. We also have a son John who is in his second year of engineering at the University of Illinois. [July2011]

I am starting my thirty-second year teaching in the Rock Island School District -- an amazing fact considering that I never intended to teach school! My current assignment finds me teaching social science, language arts, and math to gifted fifth and sixth graders in the mornings, and art to heterogeneous groups of fifth and sixth graders in the afternoons. I plan to leave teaching in the next three years and start a whole new career.

I have been widowed since March 1, 1999. My husband [Richard Sias] and I raised two children, John and Anne. John is within two years of earning his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. Anne is studying at the same university and planning to enter medical school upon graduation.

My travels have not been exotic (yet). I spend part of each summer at our island cabin near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northeastern Minnesota. For me the woods and water are wonderfully restorative. In my spare time I enjoy music and do a lot of reading. My life does not sound exciting, but I guess it suits me. I have been blessed, and I am happy. [Aug2001]
