I will be at the Nebraska vs University of Oregon football game the Saturday of the reunion. After working at the UO for 20+ years, Tom and I are Duck fans and go to all home football and basketball games. My sister Judy who lives in RI has become a Duck fan and the three of us met up at the Rose Bowl in 2015 and watched the Ducks defeat Jameis Winston and Florida State University. Tom and I moved to Oregon in 1988 and still love living here and are enjoying our retirement. I especially like not having to wake up to an alarm clock. We recently returned from a Rocky Mountaineer train trip to the Canadian Rockies visiting Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff. I also continue to sew/quilt and participate in a few Christmas bazaars each year. I also volunteer for Bags of Love, a group that provides bags with clothes and other items including quilts to children in need. Most of all Tom and I enjoy our home and yard full of flowers, our animals (currently 2 dogs and 1 cat) and our family and friends. [2016]

I retired in June 2009 after working for 21 years at the University of Oregon, the last 15 years in the President's Office. I continue to work part time supporting the President Emeritus and archiving materials from his time as President. Tom still has our pet sitting business, but we hope to close it next June so both of us can finally be retired and enjoy more free time together especially on the Oregon coast. We continue to enjoy Duck football and basketball games and will travel to Dallas for the UO vs LSU game this September. [July2011]

I kept my name before it was the "in" thing to do ~ always Vicki Peterson! Jim and I just celebrated our 38th anniversary, after I had just celebrated the first full day of kindergarten at Longfellow School. Somehow our August 3rd anniversary won't be the same, as it aligns with the Rock Island School District's modified year round calendar.

Our daughter Penelyn, graduate of Rockford College, is an artist and co-owner of Appalachian Art Gallery, Morgantown, West Virginia. Our son Terren, graduate of U of Illinos, M.S. IT, U of Virginia, IT Project Director, Capital One, is celebrating a 10th anniversary with his wife Christy in Richmnond, Virginia. Granddaughters Kaya, 7, and Sanna, 2½, are a constant source of joy! [August2006]

We are well and enjoying our retirement. 2016 is our 5th year volunteering with Sandy Arts/Sandy Amphitheatre. We started with working concerts as ushers, ticket scanners, and stagehands. Then Dean joined the carpenter crew that builds sets for the plays. We work with a great bunch of guys and gals who turn rough sketches into pieces of stage magic. I work the plays backstage dressing the actors and doing nearly anything else that is asked of me. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the 50th reunion. Who'd a thunk? [Aug2016]

We are "Climate Change Refugees." Since Dean retired in 2009, we escape the winter weather to head to CA, TX, AZ, or anywhere it is warm enough to cycle. [July2011]

A friend told me I would know it was time - "you know when you know," so I retired one year ago, and am enjoying giving back to my community, spending real time with family and friends, learning the vicissitudes of the open road (didn't know you could actually go on vacation in a car - love it so much more than expected). I know every day is special and worthy of my gratitude. Lots of travel - Iceland in August! Serve on several boards. More yard work than I had bargained for when we put in the garden. [July2016]
