Hi everyone. I am retired from Verizon Communications. Due to my employment with Verizon, we were relocated to many states: Missouri, Michigan, and Texas. We decided to retire in Arkansas due to the cost of living and the fact that we have children still up in Illinois and in Texas. Arkansas is right in the middle. I have one married son, three married step-daughters, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. I am involved with our Church activities and I belong to Women Hiking the Ozarks. We live in the Ozark Mountains, which offers many beautiful hiking trails, and hiking with a large group is a lot of fun. [Dec 2011]

The 40th Reunion was the best!! My kids are all doing well, grandkids too. I'm still in the Quad Cities, still working for the same medical transcription company, and still the QA Coordinator! I've practiced law in Peoria for 35 years, following one year as an Illinois Supreme Court law clerk. I primarily resolve commercial disputes, both in and out of court, but I also practice municipal law and sometimes resolve municipal disputes as special counsel. I'm now semi-retired, meaning that I still practice law but have reduced my case load to spend more time with my family and on outside interests.

Kris and I have two married children, both in Peoria, and three grandchildren. My avocation for over 20 years was as a member of a rock & roll band, and then a "roots" band, both of which performed professionally in Central Illinois. My last band broke up in 2009. In 2005 Kris and I started traveling every other year with three other lawyers and their spouses. We've been to Italy, Spain and France, each time for about two weeks. We leave for China this September for 16 days.

I lost Ed quickly to agent orange related pancreatic cancer as a result of his service in Vietnam. I am adjusting slowly to the passing of this beautiful man. It was his hometown of Washington that was hit by the tornado. In good news, I now have six adopted grandchildren and a new "daughter." I am preparing to publish a book of children's poetry and still traveling the country working with the Kennedy Center in DC. My own business thrives - drama and theater related - and Don Wooten had me on for an interview recently. Give him a shout out if you would like to hear it. [Nov 2013]

It's amazing to me 50 years have gone by since we all graduated. My life has been richer and full of more surprises than anything I could have planned.After graduation and a BA from Augustana College, I went to the University of Chicago for a Masters in English Education, and then taught high school English and journalism for six years in inner city and suburban schools. I earned a Masters in Journalism from the University of Missouri, starting a second career as a broadcast news anchor and reporter for 19 years. Working in St. Louis, Boston and Indianapolis, I loved being a journalist--covering everything from local news to the Ethiopian famine and the deforestation of the Amazon to presidential primaries and inaugurations. My husband and co-anchor Clyde Lee and I left TV news in 2001 to start Lee\Willis Communications, a crisis communications and public relations firm. As "recovering journalists," we've returned to our first love--producing video for clients, locally, nationally, and internationally--including several PBS documentaries. In 1994, I went out on my own as an architect and started another business. Made several trips around the west promoting it.

In 1998, my son, now 25, moved 450 miles away to Boise, Idaho. Christmas of 1999, I drove our motor home to Boise to visit him.

Summer of 1999, my first wife died from complications of a long illness. At her memorial service, I got reacquainted with Barbara, my girlfriend of 30 years ago. We became engaged and later married in June of 2000, honeymooning in Victoria, BC. After returning, we moved out to a small ranch (50 acres) to take care of Barbara's mother.

In April, 2000, I joined the Architectural and Engineering Services staff of Eastern Washington University.

Barbara has two daughters, 21 and 19, the younger recently graduating from high school. That was a trip. I thought graduation in '66 was complicated, but it doesn't compare to what all goes on for a senior today.

Barb and I have spent several weekends motor home camping in Washington, Idaho, and Montana with the camping club we belong to. [Aug2001]
