Steven G. Toalson, 63, Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Rock Island, died unexpectedly on June 7, 2012. The son of Robert and Jean Toalson, he was born on July 17, 1948.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Fort Myers.
After graduating from Rock Island High School, Steve, along with his family, operated Blackhawk Warehouse and Steve's Cartage Service. He received an Associate of Science degree from Florida Technical College and earned certification as a CNA. He was employed by AAA Locksmith in Fort Myers until his retirement in 2010.
Steve had many friends because of his kind ways and wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother, Cape Coral, Fla.; his brother, Scot, Naples, Fla.; sister, Coree Graham, Cape Coral; nephew, Peter Toalson (Nicole); nieces, Katie (Tyler) Kluesner and Ashley Toalson; great-nieces, Kodey and Dariane Kluesner; great-nephew, Levi Toalson; and several cousins. Steve was preceded in death by his father.
