Glenn R. Schamp, 57, of Rock Island died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a fund for his grandchildren.
Mr. Schamp was born Sept. 1, 1948, in Muldurgh, Ky., a son of Glenn A. and Helen Berry Schamp. He married Sally Engels in Rock Island.
Glenn joined the Rock Island City Police force in 1970, where he served for 26 years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of St. Pius X Church, Rock Island, Moose, Knights of Columbus Allouez Council 658, Rock Island, and the Police Benevolent Association.
Glenn was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother.
