Carrol Allen "Pee Wee" Rottman, 64 of Moline, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, with military honors bestowed by the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Carrol was born on September 27, 1948, in Moline, a son of Richard R. and Vera H. (Muller) Rottman. He worked for 38 years for the Iowa American Water Company, retiring in July 2009. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, playing pool, and target shooting. He was a member of Friends Circle Club, VFW Post 1303, and Vietnam Veterans Chapter 669.
Survivors (and spouses) include his children, Phillip, Curtis, and William Rottman, all of Moline, Lance Rottman, Burlington, Iowa, Angela Rottman, Davenport, and Brenna McCain, Bettendorf; six grandchildren; and brothers, Errol (Marlene) Rottman, Highland, Ill., Darrel (Patricia) Rottman, Rock Island, Jerrol Rottman, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, and Merrol (Elaine) Rottman, Viola, Ill. His parents and a brother, Garrel Rottman, preceded him in death.
