Mary Quick

Mary F. Quick, 68, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in her Davenport home.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island; visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Mary was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Rock Island, the daughter of Rudolph G. Sr. and Elizabeth C. Moore Quick.

She worked at various places throughout her life, including IBP, Joslin, and most recently for the Safer Foundation as a teacher/driver. Mary enjoyed bowling, spending time with family, and watching sports, especially tennis.

Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Elizabeth Quick, Davenport; children, Marvin Taylor, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Pamela Taylor, Moline; five grandchildren, Antonio Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Flora Taylor, Ontario Taylor and Tyona Baylor; three great-grandchildren, Antonio Taylor Jr., Avion Taylor and Travante Waters; sister, Mamie (James) Williamson, Davenport; brothers, Rudolph Quick Jr., Minnesota, Roy Quick, Davenport, and Dennis Quick, Rock Island; special nephew, Justin Wright; special niece, Brittany (Jacques) Washington; special great-nephew, Joshua Washington; and a host of other family and friends. A very special thank you to Ms. Nikki Lopez, her loving caretaker.

She was preceded in death by her father, sister and grandparents.
