K. O. McMahill, Milan resident, dies at age 25

Kenneth O. McMahill, 25, of 305 W. 28th Ave., Milan, died at 5:45 last evening in Moline Lutheran Hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, with the Rev. George W. Loveland, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Moline, officiating.  Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Mr. McMahill was born Sept. 13, 1946 in Rock Island, a son of Arthur and Mary Wilson McMahill.  He was a life resident of Milan.  He attended Milan schools and was graduated from Rock Island High School.

He married Deanna Lester in Chicago Dec. 28, 1968.  For the past six years he was employed at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Moline.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Shawn, at home; a brother, Darrell Mosher of Milan, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Mosher of Milan.  He was preceded in death by his father and half-brother.

Funeral services for Kenneth O. McMahill, 25, of 305 W. 28th Ave., Milan, who died Wednesday, were held this afternoon at Hodgson Funeral Home in Rock Island with the Rev. George W. Loveland, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Moline, officiating.  Burial was in Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island.

Pallbearers were William Herrick, Robert Lester, Lanny McCorkle, David Strouble, James Hansen, and Danny Winchester.
