Robert King

Robert Joseph King passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 22 at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

He was born in Rock Island on Jan. 14, 1948.

Bob was raised and attended school in Rock Island.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 and was a Vietnam veteran.

He has resided in other areas of California, Florida, Michigan and eventually in Salt Lake City.

Bob was an avid collector/investor of automobiles, boats "and like that!"

He is survived by children, Christopher (Christi) King, Littleton, Colo., Benjamin King, Denver, Colo., and Ronica King, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Alex and Colleen Barrett, Bryce and Brynn King; brothers, Edward (Debbie) and John (Lisa) King; sisters, Gayle (Paul) Carini and Mary Ann (Ron) Castens; cousins, Betty (David) Moore and Barbara Tucker Heyrman; nieces and nephews, Cherie (Bill) Craig, Jessica and Sarah King, Martin (Defonna) Castens, Terrance (April) Castens and Kari Ann (Todd) Dost, Barton (Dawn) Adams, Shelly (Martin) Vahue, Michael (Mikel) Adams and Karla (Art) Babcock.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lester Roscoe and LaUna Ruth Tucker King; nephew, Randy King; and sister-in-law, Judith Woehlk King.
