SPRING HILL, Fla. – James B. Hughes, 65, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Milan, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, from kidney failure. James was born May 24, 1948, in Rock Island.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. James enjoyed all types of drag racing and NASCAR.
He is survived by his mother, Fern Hughes; brother Gary (Wendy) Hughes, Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the services. Online condolences may be left for the family at TurnerFuneralandCremation.com.
