Linda Garvey Pruett

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda L Pruett announces her passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, September 30th. She was born in Rock Island, Illinois on June 12th, 1948, to Leroy and Evelyn Garvey.

She was a graduate of Rock Island Senior High School, then married Donnie Pruett on December 6, 1976, where at the time she worked at Jimmy Sullivan's Cafe and Donnie worked at JI Case Co. in Rock Island. Later they moved to Seton, IL where she worked at the Aledo Country Club, and then they moved to Harrisonville, MO in 1987, where she worked at the Harrisonville country club, and later became a dietician at the Bates County Sheriff's Department in Butler, MO. After retirement they moved to Warsaw, Missouri, where they have resided over the past ten years.

Linda enjoyed golfing and fishing. Linda also loved being in the kitchen, which showed in her exceptional cooking skills.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie Pruett; son, John W Young Jr. of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister, Mary (Terry) Barrett of Rock Island, IL; uncle, Bobbie S Baker of Los Gatos, CA; Peggy Sedam (nee Garvey) of Andalusia, IL; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Evelyn Garvey; sister Kathleen Frances; and granddaughter Samantha Young.

Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
