Liane M. Barton, 45, of 2211 42nd St., Rock Island, died Monday, Sept. 12, 194, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Rock Island. The body will be cremated. Inurnment is in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a wake service at 7:30 and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her son.
Miss Barton was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Rock Island, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Walsh Barton. She had been employed for 28 years at Walgreen Drug Co., first at the former 2nd Avenue Store in Rock Island and was then at the 11th Street Store.
She enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include a son, Ryan, at home; her mother, Mary Geiger, Rock Island; sisters and brothers-in-law Delores and Othel Jackson, Fayetteville, N.C., and Mary Sue and Richard Truitt, Springfield, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Barton, Davenport, Dennis and Rosetta Barton, Rock Island, Kenneth and Marie Barton, Milan, and Thomas and Jane Barton, Denver.
