Mary Bahen Phillips

Services for Mary E. Phillips, 48, of 1603 5th St. E., Milan, are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island.   Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a scripture service at 5:30 p.m.  Memorials may be made to Easter Seals Foundation.

Mrs. Phillips died Wednesday, April 3, 1996, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline.

The former Mary E. Bahen was born April 25, 1947, in Chicago, the daughter of Bernard and Leona Palasch Bahen.  She married Robert W. Phillips May 28, 1982, in Rock Island.

She was employed as an office manager at Quad City Partnership, now known as Candlelight Community, Coal Valley, for eight years.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Milan, a volunteer for Easter Seals Foundation, and a member of CB Loafers, Milan.  She was also a member of Indian Trails Resort, Colona.

She collected rocks and shells and enjoyed walks along rivers and wooded areas.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Marya A. Phillips, at home; a sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette and John McFetridge, Catlin, Ill.; and a brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Jean Bahen, Taylor Ridge.
